Life Beneath The Ocean
A GROUNDBREAKING new exhibition allows visitors to explore the secrets of life beneath the ocean’s waves by viewing incredible cross-sections of the animals including whales, penguins and Great White sharks, and even getting an up-close glimpse of their complex organs.
SEA CREATURES starts its tour at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Lawrence Hall in London from 4th to 30th August 2018. The exhibition then opens in Edinburgh at the Royal Highland Centre from the 21st September to 18th October. Next stop is the Harrogate Convention Centre from 27th October to 28th November. The final stop on the tour is The Titanic Centre in Belfast from 8th December to 2nd January 2019.
Visitors will see fifty ethically sourced, real-life specimens of creatures and 150 body parts and organs, including a Baleen Whale, Whale Shark, Great White Shark, Dolphin, Seal, Octopus, Penguin and Sting Ray on display, allowing visitors to glimpse inside the majestic beasts, learning about the complex life systems within and why we need to protect precious ocean life.
Sea Creatures is an immersive and interactive experience with an Augmented Reality App, 9D Virtual Reality experiences and touchscreen interactives, which brings the whole ocean experience to life! The 9D VR experience tickets are £5 per person and can be purchased at the box office on arrival. In addition there is sea creature face painting at £5 per child and our resident Henna artist is on-hand to create a range of beautiful henna tattoo designs for a small fee. Sea Creatures is a fantastic, entertaining and educational day out for the whole family.
